Anto's background in psychophysical theater has led her to interweave her exploration in experimental narrative and documentary filmmaking with performance. Born in Santiago, Chile, Anto worked as a Producer for the Santiago a Mil Festival where she assisted different artists including German choreographer Pina Bausch. Anto co-directed the New England Graduate Media Symposium for three consecutive years. In 2017 she received a Flaherty Seminar Fellowship thanks to Ford Foundation. She is an active member of the Boston Film Collective AgX where she develops personal work, leads production workshops and has a role programing screenings to promote alternative practices in filmmaking. Anto teaches film and performance classes at Massachusetts College of Art and Design and Emerson College.
